What are the technical requirements for FamilyFeatures.com?

For Mac Users: FamilyFeatures.com works best with OS 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.2 or FireFox 2.0 browsers. Please note that Microsoft no longer supports the Internet Explorer browser for Mac; as such, Explorer users may experience glitches in site function.

For PC Users: FamilyFeatures.com works best with the Microsoft XP operating system and Internet Explorer 7.0 or FireFox 2.0 browsers.

Can I publish materials on my Web site?

Yes, the easiest way to publish materials on your Web site is to set up our automatically updating Web feeds. Once set up, these feeds automatically refresh with new content every week. If you prefer to select individual content items from FamilyFeatures.com to update your site, you may convert the files to HTML. Please let us know that you are publishing the materials on your Web site, so we can provide an online tracking code.

My company has a policy against using brand names. Can I still use your materials?

Yes, you may choose to remove brand names from the copy and simply credit the sponsor somewhere on the page. For example, "information courtesy of Energizer Batteries."

Can I download a file in order to decide if we will publish it?

When you download materials from the site, we assume that you plan to publish them. We therefore ask that if you are deciding whether to publish something you use the preview option. If you do download something that you decide not to use, please let us know so we can report this to our sponsors.

How many pages do you produce each year?

Volume of content varies throughout the year, but you will find more than enough content to publish 52 weeks a year and for holiday/special event/seasonal special sections throughout the year.

How long are your Features and Articles available?

There is no set time for availability of materials. Our sponsors set distribution goals for their materials and once these are reached, the feature or article will close. Some may be available for months and some for a few weeks, depending on the theme and the number of publications that order it. Some are seasonal and are only available until a certain holiday or time of year.

Because we never know how long content will be available, we recommend that you order/download what you want as soon as possible.

Must I publish the materials within a certain time after ordering/downloading?

We prefer that you run materials within a reasonable time after you order them — ideally within 6 months. Some Features are seasonal (holidays, special occasions) or highlight ingredients or products that are seasonal (fresh produce, holiday items), and we ask that you be sensitive to this. We hope by being sensitive to the seasonal content, you will avoid calls from readers who cannot find the items at their local stores.
